The Pedissert – Vol. 3 – “O Christmas Feet”

The Pedissert - Vol. 3- "O Christmas Feet"

While none of the 100 planned Pedisserts will be exactly the same, sometimes you have to break up the monotony. That sounds weird to say when we’re talking about smooshing multicolored whipped cream pies into women’s feet to make really bizarre living sculptures; even then, there’s an opportunity to change things up from time to time.

Since the next shoot would take place in the month of December, there was a perfect opportunity to do a Christmas theme. There are other holidays that take place this month, and that may be something we explore in later volumes; I know I can’t wait to make a Festivus one!

I put out a casting call on a local subreddit to find a participant, as well as reaching out to friends who are also down to clown. Not long after doing so, Amanda reached out to me after her boyfriend told her about it. She’s an artist who lives down south now, but previously lived in NYC, where she told me about some of the weird things she had done while living there. Needless to say, she was down for doing a Christmas-themed Pedissert shoot.

To fit the theme, I “baked” ten Christmas cream pies for this shoot. Usually, I use 5-6 colors of cream, but went down to three here. In actuality, it’s only two. I only colored the red and green; I also included white, since the cream is as soft and fluffy as snow.

I also went and bought some Christmas lights and garland to hang up in the back; otherwise, we have the same chair, footstool, and plastic sheeting you’re all familar with.

After the issues with recording Vol. 2 (as well as T-Mobile running a great Black Friday deal), I upgraded my phone, and thus, my filming apparatus. This is the first volume where I use the Google Pixel 10 Pro. Not only did the video turn out great, but the pictures are much improved! Outside of editing the raw files to make the color pop more, I didn’t have to do any other edits! The focus is really good, and it’s better at blurring what’s not.

I have nothing but good things to say about the shoot. Amanda was very fun to shoot with, and she definitely understood the assignment. Her “ugly Christmas sweater” added even more Christmas lights and jingle bells to the whole thing. The pies turned her feet really festive, and they pop on the photos and video. My anxiety-ridden senior dog didn’t cause any issues. And most importantly, no technical glitches! Both the photos and the video went without a hitch.

If you do need something to complain about – I do “sing” a couple of Christmas song parodies in this. In all honesty, I wouldn’t want to hear me sing either!

After the success of this Christmas-themed shoot, I’m thinking of doing more holiday volumes. And Amanda’s right; we have to do a Pi Day (March 14th) one! If not, why are we even here?

Anyway, check out the photos and video below!
